#1 - Issue: Dealing with Physical Pain:

My name is Jill. I’m currently a full-time student and working towards my certification to become a birthing Doula. I’m a single mom of a wonderful 3 year old girl named Zosia.

I have a 10 year history of chronic knee pain. I’m a fit, 32 year old woman who doesn’t like to use pharmaceuticals, but due to the intensity of my knee pain, I was taking 1000 mg of ibuprofen a day to tolerate the pain and be able to walk up and down stairs, etc. I tried physical therapy, had an MRI and tried several arthritis medications with no results.

I met with Diana with the hope of getting temporary relief from the pain. She gave me about 45 minutes of energy therapy. At first, I didn’t feel much difference. When I woke up the next morning, the pain was gone. That was over a year and a half ago, and the pain hasn’t returned. It’s completely gone.

One session lifted years of suffering with chronic knee pain. One session eliminated my need for pain medication. I appreciate all of the help that Diana provided me and I would recommend Energy Therapy to anyone that would be interested in trying a more non-traditional Therapy approach.

#2 - Issue: Physical Pain and Emotional Issue:

I’m a 36 year-old female. I have a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a Law Degree. I mostly work in the Environmental area. I’m married and have a 3 year-old son.

My parents were divorced when I was 5. My father was an artist (professional photographer). My mother has always worked blue collar 9-to-5 type jobs. After the divorce, my sister (4 years younger) and I lived with our mother. We saw our father occasionally.

Although my mother always provided for our physical needs, she offered very little emotional support. She has a strong work ethic. When I was younger, she knew how to let loose. But, now, she’s all about work; thinking about it, doing it and creating it.

My father provided very little financial support. However, he has always been interested in what is going on in our lives. He has always given us a lot of encouragement in all our endeavors, especially creative ones.

When I was 10, my mother remarried. Two years later, my stepfather and mother moved my sister and me to another state. It was a very traumatizing experience because we were very close to our extended family, especially our grandmother. My stepfather treated us horribly. Four years later, my mother had a child with him. She has always been treated like a princess. I don’t talk to my stepfather at all. In addition, I can barely stand to be around my mother.

I went to see Diana to see if she could help me with a deep pain I was having in my left shoulder blade. I had been experiencing it for 6 months to a year. I had tried massage, but it was only a temporary fix.

Diana used a combination of techniques, including hands on energy work, Theta healing and counseling. Together, we deduced that I was holding onto deep animosity towards my mother. After some discussion, we deduced that I hadn’t always felt this way about my mother. Something happened in my past to cause the change. First, Diana helped my get into a deeply relaxed state. Then, she had me travel backwards into my past to look for the moment that I went from feeling positive towards my mother to feeling negative. We found that things changed for me when my mother remarried. I felt that she changed. Before remarrying, I had respected her, even admired her. After she married my step dad, she changed. He was such an ass and an enemy to her fun, she eventually stopped having it. She had allowed him to control her. And, I resented her for that.

Next, Diana had me try to look at the situation from my mother’s point. She wanted me to try to be empathetic towards her. I did and had a profound experience. Instead of feeling rage toward her, I started feeling sorry for her. When I thought of her, tears would well up instead of adrenalin. Diana said that I should replace the rage that was connected to that point in time when she remarried with empathy and forgiveness. She also told me that, whenever I start to get into a conflict with my mother, I should try to detach myself and remember the empathy and forgiveness I had experienced.

After the session, I felt a lot lighter, like a heavy shield was taken off of me. Shortly after, when I saw my mother, I could see the change. When she started to push my buttons, I didn’t immediately jump to the defense and want to engage her in a fight. I found that I was much calmer because I understood the place she was coming from, even if I didn’t like it. My shoulder pain also went away after that session. The pain was released within the area where it was originally hurting and has never came back.
